Hi All, A big thanks to Karin for agreeing to be my front page model !!! Not sure about me though!!! This was a hilarious day as Karin had bought a new blow up bed for guests and this amused us for hours...........small things etc! Tony. Karin, and myself had endless hours of fun!!!!

I cannot believe its been almost a year since the 2008 race for life. You know that my lovely father in law, Neil lost his life to cancer last year. My mum continues with her battle, and constantly  amazes and inspires all around her with her courage and spirit. After 6 operations last year, it looks like the worst is over for now. The treatment that my mum has had for her skin cancer has saved her life. Those of you who know my beautiful friend Karin  are aware that she is fighting her own battle with breast cancer, and thanks to early intervention, and fantastic treatment  her prognosis is really good. Karin is actually doing the race for life with me this year, so please a  please please give a little to help the cause. When Neil died I made myself a promise to do the race for life each year to raise funds for research. I had no idea then that Karin and my mum would also be affected .They say that 1 in 3 of us will be affected by cancer, so every single penny raised will make a difference to someone. I know things are tight for a lot of people right now, but in memory of Neil and my grandad (who also died of lung cancer) , my Uncle Tommy , Steve (we will all miss you so much), and in honour of my mum and Karin who are still here thanks to the treatment they received , please please give a little.- A big thanks to my dad and Tony for being such an amazing support when the going got tough, and to (my lovely husband) Roag, Russ, Lisa, Leanne ,Sarah, Roag Jnr, and India, my family, and my girlfriends for always being there for me.
