Story

Just finnished the race in 44min 26seconds, i ran 60% and walked 40% of the way. thank you all for the donations

On the 1st Novemeber 2012, the most important person to me in the world passed away with me and my farther by her side. My mother was the most insperational woman you will ever have had the pleasure of meeting, she was strong, brave and careing.

In December 2011 my mother got diagnosed with esophogial cancer. This was horrific, i didn't know what to do with my life, i paniced, got angry and broke down. But my mother was by my side, she never showed fear she was brave and confident and was convinced she could fight it. Unfortunatly her treatment didn't work to the level of expectence. Within a weeks of her passing  she had a oporation to put a tube into her esophogus so she could eat again, this was a success after failures before. Finnally some good news! Then a few weeks later we got the news that she didn't have long left. Supplies where sent home so she could come home and pass in the confort of her own home in which she shared with my farther since they where 21. On the 1st Novemeber 2012 i got the phone call i was dreading, she only had a few hours left i raced home from Aberystwyth, were i am a student, back home to Wigan, got told to not come to the hospical, but went anyway, i was by her side, with my farther for no more than half an hour and then she was gone. Aged 59, only 3 hours of hitting 60, my world, my farthers world fell appart.

There is no words to describe how much i miss my mum, she was my entire life, this is why i want to do this for her. I am extreemly unfit, and unhealthy, therefor doing this for my mother will not only help others with cancer but hopefully get me in a better shape to help fight my problems in the future.

I am not asking for much, but please help support others through what my mother had to suffer through, a few pounds will go a long way.

Thank you, Lisa Ainscough, aged 20
