I have taken part in Race for Life for the last 4 years and as usual I will be running in aid of my Dad, Alan Curd. My Dad was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2001 and despite going though chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments he sadly lost his battle to the disease in October 2002. I miss my Dad very much and there is not a day goes past that I do not think about him or imagine what sort of advice he would be giving me.

This year, as like last I will also be running for my Uncle Brian as he lost his battle to cancer in June 2007. My Uncle Brian was my Dads brother so I like to think they have been reunited and probably causing havoc up there!!
