Help us help other people fight the battle of cancer! 

 

Sadly our family went through a heart-breaking and devastating time last year in helping our mama fight the last stages of her cancer battle. Mama was an inspiring and courageous special woman who we all dearly miss and forever will keep close to our hearts.

After many years of fighting mama became very ill last summer and the family was told there was nothing else that could be done. The strength she showed and taught us in all the years it was time for us to show that strength and support back to mama.

As a family we all got together and cared for mama to give her what she cherished the most, the love of her family. Day and night we all sat held her hand and made her feel like it was all going to be okay. Mama would talk to us, laugh, sing and tell us stories of her childhood.

Towards the end mama fell silent as she didn’t have the strength to speak but through her eyes we still saw the love and kindliness mama always had when she looked at her family.  

Even a stranger would feel the special warmth that mama had about her, she didn’t have a bad bone in her. She opened her arms to everyone and made everyone feel welcome. 

In October we all received the dreaded news that crumbled the world around us, we lost the most special person in our family…. Our Mama xx

 

Today she looks down on us and smiles proudly for the family she has made us. We go on day by day talking about all the memories we have as a family and individuals and cherish that she truly was one in a million, nothing can replace what mama has given us all. 

The girls in the family are getting together to give back merely a fraction for what mama deserves, we ask you to dig deep in memory of our mama to help raise money so other families out there can benefit from the support we were given in making our mamas last few months as comfortable and pain free as possible.
