Race for Life Exeter 2013 · 30 June 2013 ·
Joanne, Elizabeth and Eloise are raising money in the memory of Maureen Payce a wonderful mum and grandma. She was diagnosed with leukaemia in 2012 and received chemotherapy at Yarty Ward at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital. She enjoyed three months at home, listening to her heavy metal music, especially Iron Maiden and reading historic fiction. In December 2012 Maureen was re-admitted to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital with a condition which was aggrevated by the chemotherapy. She sadly passed away on 16 January 2013.
Maureen was one in a million. She definitely left an impression with everyone she met. She had so much love for her two daughters, Joanne and Elizabeth and her grandchildren, Eloise and George. Throughout her life Maureen was close to her sister Denise.
Joanne and Eloise are also raising money on behalf of Nan and Mother-in-Law Barbara. She suffered with two lots of cancer during 2012 but has thankfully survived. Grandad and Father-in-Law Donald also suffered with cancer a few years ago.
This race is for you all and other survivers, victims and those still battling cancer.
