Hi friends and family,
I have dug deep into my non-athletic soul for this 10k race. Events like Race for Life are vital in funding Cancer Research UK's life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer.
I am doing this race in honour of my Zaida Jack. Before his death in 2008, my grandfather lived through more cancers than you can imagine: breast, colon, prostate, skin... you name it, he had it. Sometimes twice. And through it all, he battled and survived like a true soldier against a disease that seems to know no bounds. He could not have done it, however, without funds like this. He also would be the one to buy me my gym membership, so he would be happy I was getting out there!
Anyways, in all likelihood this awful, relentless disease has touched you in some way. Please think about donating in honour of someone you care about!
Love you,
Pamela
PS If you're a UK tax-payer, you can get a receipt, so let me know.
