Story
Thank you for visiting my Race for Life sponsorship page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online – it’s quick, easy and totally secure.
I have been personally affected by breast cancer when I found a lump just before xmas 2008 and was diagnosed on 6/01/09 and received my first treatment of chemotherapy 2 days later. I am pleased to say that so far my treatment is working and I'm remaining positve about the whole experience and recovering.
Without my friends and family I would have struggeld to remain so positive and their support is fantastic and a great help to me, also the hospital and staff i have met have been great and supportive. I have also been finacially supported by Macmillan Cancer Fund , Cancer Recovery Fund and this was a great help as i had to cut my working hours down greatly when i was diagnosed and was not eligable for benefits to help support myself and I wanted to carry on working for theraputic reasons and because I enjoy my job.
I decided to do the Race for Life to help towards furthur research, support groups etc that are needed to help women who have breast cancer and their famillies/freinds who support them. I have also with the help of my friends organised a fundraiser at Back2mine to help raise more money for cance research this will happen after the race for life, so fingers crossed it all goes well the weather is hot and we rasie lots of money and have fun :)
So please give generously and help me to go past my target and raise as much as possible for Cancer Research.
