Race for Life Milton Keynes 5k 2011 · 11 June 2011 ·

We‘re the world‘s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving and improving lives through research. We fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Story

Team Fayers - Ethan, Verity & I (Graham is exempt from this one!), will be completing the Race for Life on 11 June 2011. As Ethan & Verity can't actually walk, let alone run, they will be putting their feet up in the buggy, whilst I struggle to keep them both occupied and happy whilst completing the course - believe me this will not be easy!

Like many people, we have had close relatives taken away from us due to cancer.  My Dad died from cancer when I was 19.  Ten years later to the day, my Grandma (my Dad's mum) passed away due to cancer. I like to think that in some way they both live on in spirit through Ethan & Verity.  Particularly as Ethan & Verity share my Dad's birthday.
