My brilliant CSI (scene of crime officer) colleagues at Camden MET police have come up with the idea to do the Race For Life challenge on 12th June in support of myself and my daughter.

In April this year, my 19 year old daughter got diagnosed with a rare type of ovarian cancer called germ cell tumour. She has already run a fantastic campaign raising over £2000 for Cancer Research UK - read all about it on her personal fundraising page (Ellie Gets a Mohawk!)

My own Mum died of lung cancer 10 years ago, but since then times have changed and the ability to treat cancer has improved in leaps and bounds. I am doing the Race for Life to give my support to the ongoing battle against cancer. Together we can beat it!

Lucy Larotonda, Najwa Bergalia, Laura Spencer, Nicola Brett, Debbie Rowan, Yvonne Gallagher will be racing.

Emma Shulver, Scherene Rogers, David Urquart, Simon Dawson, Taz El-Sirgani, James Preston will be supporting us by donating, cheering along the route or holding the fort at work!
