Saz and Ellie's Race for Life

Race for Life Bath (am) 2013 · 16 June 2013 ·
This year Ellie and I will be running the Race for Life to raise money to cure cancer.
In the last 3 years I have lost my mother in law and watched helplessly as 2 of my closest friends battled this dreadful disease. I have comforted my sister after her best friend died at the age of 34. I have cried with my Uncle as his battle took him closer to death than we knew we could get. I have faced my own breast cancer scares and felt the guilty relief when my biopsy's came back all clear... Ellie, despite her young age has also lost family members to this disease.
...But I have also seen 1 of my closest friends get the all clear after 2 years and after nearly dying, my Uncle is now in Remission. Ellie's younger sister Niamh also battled against Cancer as a 2 year old, but thankfully came through her treatment and is now a fit and healthy 11 year old, annoying younger sister!!'
These are not small mercies. This is down to treatment and research into the hideous evil that is Cancer. I am celebrating these two victories in the fight against cancer by running the Race for Life and actually doing something to raise money to cure cancer.
Doesn't that sound good..........cure cancer.
If you can't help raise money to cure cancer then please can you donate one pound, or five pounds. Every penny really does count. As our friends, Ellie and I are asking you to forgoe your Daily Caffe Latte from Pret or Starbucks and give it to us to help cure cancer. Finding a cure for cancer will taste a lot sweeter than your daily coffee!
Please help us to achieve this.
