Anyone who knows me knows I am not a runner!! But I feel its time I gave something back and got my backside into gear and raised some money for this very important cause.

In the last 3years cancer has had a devastating effect on me and my family. My dad was diagnosed with liver cancer in 2008 and tragically lost his battle less than two months later. We had barely got over that shock when at the end of 2008 both my mam and I were both diagnosed with cancer!! My favourite phrase became "You couldnt make it up!!"

 I thankfully made a recovery but my lovely mam lost her brave battle in september of 2010. She never complained even when in pain and was an inspiration to us all. I was so happy that she was able to be here for my wedding to Gary in August she had a fabulous day and looked like a model.  Not a day goes by when I dont think of her and I miss her dreadfully but she would love me doing the Race for life. I can just hear her saying "Bout time you got some exercise!!"
