Last October(2012) I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer - what a terrifying life changing moment that was and what a fight I had before me .......... the support I had from my family, friends, work colleagues and all at the Linda McCartney Centre in Liverpool was phenomenal and got me through my operation and recovery! I feel so lucky that my cancer was caught early enough and after my treament I'm well on the mend and just started back at work! 

Last year I ran the race to help raise money and have a laugh with my team mates - this year I will run (if fit enough) or walk not only to help raise money and have a laugh but to be defiant and (in the words of the advertisements on TV) to say "Up yours Cancer" I'm a Survivor!!!! This year our team "The 3 Perkateers" are Kate, Ruth (affectionately known as my "booby buddies") and me (Sandy) - feel free to come and cheer us on!
