I have great respect for all those who have regularly done these charity runs and, although as a family we sponsor participants and donate to other organisations, I've often talked-the-talk but never actually walked-the-walk!

Both my husband and I lost our mother's to this disease and more recently a very close friend has been diagnosed with lymphoma and we're still awaiting the results of various tests to know the full extent of this, and the treatment programme that will be put in place.

Needless to say this has been an added incentive to actually DO something this year rather than just dip into my pocket - though this of course is extremely important - so please do sponsor myself and Taiya (she is hoping to raise £50 but as a minor doesn't have her own page).

I'm sure you already know the massive difference that Cancer Research makes to people all over the world, and how so many people are affected, either personally or because of a relative or friend's diagnosis so PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE support us by your sponsorship - however small, every penny counts.
