St Richard’s Hospice is an independent charity offering free, expert care for adults with an illness that cannot be cured, and support for their loved ones and carers. Each year the hospice team supports more than 3,100 patients, family members and bereaved people in Worcestershire.

Story

In October 2015 St Richard's Hospice set Year Eight the challenge to 'grow' £5 in their "Flourishing Fivers" campaign. Tom H, Tom E, Jon E and Ben W decided not only to donate their 'fivers' back to St Richard's Hospice but to challenge themselves to walk the entire length of The Worcestershire Way and raise much needed funds for the charity. This 31 mile trek will require strength, determination, energy and teamwork which the boys have in abundance, and will challenge them immensely.

St Richard's Hospice run an event annually, in June, to complete The Worcestershire Way in a day. The boys' plan to complete the distance over 2 days during half-term so please support them in their endeavour to complete this very scenic but demanding route through Worcestershire, starting in Bewdley, passing through the Teme valley, finishing in Malvern.
