RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches. RNLI lifesaving and drowning prevention depend on supporter fundraising and the generous donations that you and others give.

Story

Sunday May 28th we're inviting all to join us at the inshore lifeboat station as The volunteer crew of the Mumbles lifeboats are rowing the distance from Mumbles to Tenby and back.

The distance of approximately 100,000 metres will be completed in one day. Through the month of May RNLI volunteer lifeboat crew across the country have been setting themselves huge sponsored challenges.
The May Day appeal is to raise money for the RNLI. This epic task will take our crew approximately 5 hrs and between them they'll burn over 20, 000 calories. We welcome the public to come and see the crew on our static rowing machines take on the task.
