Richard & Will Tyrrell and Robert & Andrew Bennie

On Monday 24th June 2013, Richard Tyrrell, Will Tyrrell, Andrew Bennie and Robert Bennie tee'd off at Royal Lytham & St.Annes Golf Club at at 5:25am on a blustery links day with consistent +30mph winds with 4 rounds of golf, 72 holes infront of us!
As it was nearing sunset, the final putt was holed on the 72nd hole at 9:40pm, all of us thoroughly shattered but absolutely delighted to have completed all 4 rounds in 1 piece!
If you take a look at our picture, you can see the 4 of us on the 1st tee of the 4th and final round of the day…our feet certainly feeling the effects of the first 54 holes! With the support of our friends and family, we raised £265 for Macmillan Cancer Charity, of which all four of us were hugely grateful for.
Almost exactly 365 days on from 2013, we have decided to take on the challenge again in 2014, once again at Royal Lytham & St.Annes commencing this year at 5am on Friday 27th June!
In 2014 we are raising money for a small charity which means a great deal to us, the Multiple System Atrophy Trust. On October 3rd 2013 Sheila Tyrrell (Richard & Will's Grandma) passed away at 82 after being diagnosed with MSA, a disorder which affects around 4 people in every 100,000. MSA is a progressive neurological disorder that affects adult men and women. We hope to raise £500 in support of MSA.
With over 20 miles, 800 bunkers, over 300 shots each, and 16 hours out on the Links of one of the toughest courses in the UK we appreciate each and every donation in trying to reach our target of £500.
Many thanks,
Richard, Robert, Andrew and Will
