Age UK are a charity that is very close to the heart of Rocksteady.  We have visited their site at Henderson court a number of times.  During these visits we spend time listening to the stories from the wonderful people there, playing games with them, having lunch with them and even organising the occasional quiz.  

Age UK struggle at the best of times so it's almost unimaginable what some of the members are having to go through right now.  Please read their story below and donate as much as you can.  Rocksteady can really make a difference here.

Age UK Camden are receiving more than 100 calls a day from distressed older people who dont have enough food in the house, are too nervous to go out and have no way to get food delivered. In a response to this we have turned our two sites in the North and South of the borough into hubs, and will now open 7 days a week, for the collection and distribution of emergency food parcels. We are working hard to support our client group to reduce their risk of Coronavirus while continuing to care and support them. Whilst older people are at increased risk of loneliness and isolation at this time, our biggest challenge is undoubtedly making sure they can access the support and services they need whilst staying safe and healthy at home.We know many older peoples lives are at risk because of the pandemic, but we also must make sure that there are no needless deaths due to food poverty, malnutrition or total isolation.
