Imagine a day when...

...you didn't see anyone

...no one called in

...no one telephoned, emailed, texted, Facebooked or Tweeted you

... you had no contact with anyone from getting up to going to bed.

Doesn't sound so bad? Imagine if that happened the next day and the next day and the next...

There are over 5000 lonely older people in Northumberland that experience this every day.

Over the next 12 months I will be taking part in a number of runs to help Age UK Northumberland fight loneliness. First up is the Zombie Blood Run at Woodhorn on Sunday 29 October 2017 followed by Blaydon Races, the Great North Run and a firewalk.

I work with some fantastic people who go that extra mile every single day to make sure that older people in Northumberland enjoy later life and all donations will make a huge difference to the work that they do. All funds raised will go towards befriending services in Northumberland including the development of a friendship line and social groups.
