Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My Son Max, now 19 months old was born at 29 weeks, as a result of being so premature, Max suffered a bleed to both the left and right side of his brain, mostly to the left. At the time we were given no hope for his quality of life and what the outcome of this would be. However Max, despite various medical conditions such as Hydrocephalus, Epilepsy, Visual Impairment and Hemiplegic Cerebral Palsy he is quite the opposite of having "poor quality of life" but is actually full of character, happiness, joy and a good mix of mischief 😉
Hemi Chat and it's members have been a great support and even funded for us and other local members to have a family day out to see The Magical Lanterns at The Botanical Gardens. As a Charity their main objective is to unite families affected by Hemiplegia, to raise awareness and to make pathways within health service to ensure that with every diagnosis of Hemiplegia they are offered the best information and support.
I have decided to give up the Chocolate, Biscuits and Cake for OVER a month and start from 08/02/17 until 31/03/17. Aware of the fact that I'll be giving up these luxuries over Valentine's Day, Pancake Day and Mother's Day 😬 But it will all be worth it to be able to give something back to the people who have supported us when we needed it most and will obviously benefit my health.
I shall be donating myself each week, whatever I may have spent on sweet treats that week. I'd greatly appreciate any support you can give whether it be donations during my challenge to give me a boost or sponsoring me when I have completed my challenge.
