Rachel and Roslyn cycle 500 miles · 2 September 2015

This year at Northern Ireland Children's Hospice we cared for over 370 children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, in both our inpatient unit - Horizon House and in the local community. We rely on your generous donations to continue to fund our vital services.

Story

So, we have decided to cycle 500 miles from Milan to Venice, over the Italian Alps in order to raise money for NI Children's Hospice.

We will be going at the beginning of September for what will be a gruelling 500 miles, including the highest peak in the Eastern Alps and some ascents cycled as part of the Giro d'Italia - not quite the "leisurely cycle around some lakes" I promised Roslyn before we booked flights...

We will be funding the trip ourselves (flights, bikes etc) and plan to take a tent with us to camp, so that all money raised goes straight to the NI Children's Hospice, which is a fantastic local charity providing palliative care to over 1300 life-limited children here in Northern Ireland.

Any donation you can give, no matter how small, is really appreciated and will give us the motivation we need to get to Venice!
