Bupa Great North Run 2011 · 18 September 2011 ·

Mencap wants a world where people with a learning disability gain an equal right to choice opportunity and respect. We believe that support for the families and carers of people with a learning disability is vital to achieving our vision

Story

The Bupa Great North Run is THE most iconic half-marathon on the planet, with 54,000 runners taking part, over 13 miles throughout Tyneside on Saturday 18th September.

Despite our varied levels of fitness, seven of us from Head Office have decided to partake in this event to raise funds for The Co-operative’s charity of the year - Mencap (Enable in Scotland) - and would like to ask for your support in contributing to our £5 million target for 2011.

Completing the run will be a huge challenge for all of us, so please dig deep and get those pennies motivating us!!

Thank you in advance.

Graham Leggett, Michael Scotchbrook, Shanoor Choudhury – Transport Planning

Karen Curry and Rachel Cook – Human Resources

Jo Squires-Parkin and Adam Lee – Business Systems
