In 2002 I suffered a brain haemorrhage and a stroke, my husband Paul was not in the Uk as he was fighting the war in Iraq, we had only been married 6 months. It was a difficult and frightening time for everyone, the military had Paul back within 24 hours. After I recovered from the traumatic event, I  discovered running, it let me be myself as I have no recollection of the injuries. It helped me to come to terms with what happened and I wanted to help others, that is why I choose Leonard Cheshire. I started running half marathons, my next challenge is the London marathon, please help me to achieve my dream.
