Our mission at Terrence Higgins Trust is to end new cases of HIV in the UK by 2030; to empower and support people living with HIV to lead healthy lives; and to amplify the voices of those affected by HIV to eradicate stigma and discrimination.

Story

Hi there,

I'm not going to lie, I agreed to a non-stop 65.86 mile walk on a  whim. I love to walk. How hard can it be....

Day one into training, the answer is very. Very hard indeed.

Throughout the next few months, there will be tears, there will be tantrums, there will most certainly be carb loading. Luckily I have an incredible team to get me through it.

Team Sissy That Walk are going to sashay our way across the Isle of Wight on the first weekend of May and raise lots of money for a great cause.

Terrence Higgins Trust is at the forefront of the fight against HIV and improving the nation’s sexual health. It's a charity I've been supporting for a lot of years and every donation we get will go a long way.

We'll be documenting the training process and of course the walk itself - so even if it's just money to watch the struggle, it's much appreciated.

Thanks in advance and wish me luck!

R :)
