Honeypot’s vision is for every child to make the most of their one chance at childhood. Since 1996 we have been working to enhance the lives of vulnerable children and young carers aged 5-12 years by providing residential respite breaks and on-going outreach support.

Story

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page. My name is Rachel, and I am raising money for The Honeypot Children’s Charity by running the London Marathon in April 2023.

Honeypot has been working to build the lives of young carers aged 5-12 years by providing respite breaks at Honeypot House in the New Forest and delivering ongoing support in their homes. Honeypots Wrap-Round service includes residential breaks, online workshops, memorable days out, and a Well-being Fund to provide some of the essentials their parents are unable to provide.

I aim to raise £2,000 for these amazing young carers in the hope it will allow them to build some childhood memories. Please help me to help them build memories that will last a lifetime.

Please see below a breakdown of what Honeypot Children’s Charity can provide:

£10: Could pay for birthday cards for 5 Honeypot children.

£20: Could fund a 1-hour after-school online SWARM session for a young carer.

£25: Could pay for ice-creams for a group of young carers on an outreach day.

£30: Could fund a 1-hour digital Honeypot activity workshop for 1 young carer.

£50: Could cover a day out at an amusement park near our Honeypot House including entrance, food and transport for a young carer.

£100: Could fund a 1-hour digital Honeypot activity workshop for 3 young carers.

£100: Could pay for 5 tickets to a local zoo or theme park for young carers on a Honeypot Outreach visit.

£250: Could pay for a 2-hour online weekend session for 6 children.

£425: Could fund a respite break at one of our Honeypot Houses for one young carer.

£500: Could fund a respite break, a 1-hour online after-school session, and a 2-hour online weekend session for 1 young carer.

£550: Could fund a SEAL break for 1 child. To build a child’s belief that they can succeed in education.

£680: Could fund a face-to-face outreach playday/trip for 12 children.

£1,000: Could pay for a full year’s Wrap-Round support for one child. Including a respite break, an online creative workshop, and a £100 Well-being grant for one child.

The smallest donation could brighten a child's day and give them a break from responsibility.
