In 2010, I lost one of my best friends, Lauren, to Vasculitis, and since then, I've been involved with The Lauren Currie Twilight Foundation to raise awareness of the disease, and to help fund research into it, as there is no known cause or cure.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of Lauren's death and the 10th year of Lauren's charity. May is Vasculitis Awareness month and is also my birth month. I previously raised funds for my 21st in the hope of helping the charity reach £500k by Lauren's 21st that year. Now, the charity is on course to make £1 million purely through donations and fundraising.
Due to the COVID-19 global pandemic, many of the events scheduled have been cancelled and so fundraising has taken a hit. As a trustee of the charity, and as Lauren's friend, I would really appreciate donations to Lauren's charity if anyone is looking to support small charities in the current situation. Thank you!! ❤️🖤
