Story
Every year I try and set myself a challenge and raise money for a charity, normally one that has some meaning and is close to me. This year I thought I had it all figured out, I was going to raise money for Alzheimers again as my Nanny Freda was diagnosed last year (I raised over £500 a couple of years ago for Alzheimers by doing a sky dive). However, we had some more bad news recently and she has now also been diagnosed with cancer which unfortunately cannot be treated. I wish I could raise money for both charities but just giving will only allow one charity per fundraiser therefore I have decided to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support as I have already raised money for Alzheimers.
To raise money I will be completing the Great Manchester half marathon Sunday May 20th and on Saturday 26th May (yes less than a week later) I will be completing the 3 peak challenge. For those of you that are not familiar with the 3 peak challenge, I will be climbing the UK's three highest peaks; Ben Nevis, Scafell and Snowdon within 24 hours.
So please please please help justify my madness by supporting a great cause. All donations are appreciated no matter how small. Thank you!
