Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As many of you know, I keep my horse Bertie at Wimbledon Village Stables, which organises the longest running, most successful sponsored ride in the country, and since the first ride in 1975 they have raised nearly £1 million.

This is an opportunity for me and my horse Bertie to dress up as something foolish and parade down Wimbledon Village High Street, followed by a ten mile ride around the beautiful woodland of Wimbledon Common and scenic open spaces of Richmond Park.

The object is to raise money for charity, and this year our funds will be shared between the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity and the Wimbledon and Putney Commons Conservators.  The Wimbledon and Putney Commons Conservators are responsible for the protection and preservation of Wimbledon Common, Putney Heath and Putney Lower Common. Much of the Commons are a Site of Special Scientific Interest and a Special Area of Conservation.  With woodland, scrubland, heathland, mown recreation areas and nine ponds,  they are  home to a
wide variety of bird, animal and plant life and require careful conservation.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
