Story

Sarah and I work for a Police Force , Sarah is an officer and I'm a control room operator (yes I get to tell her what to do). With covid-19 restrictions we are both aware that this will increase isolation for families that are subjected to domestic violence in the home, this isolation could cause increased mental health vulnerability, thoughts of suicide and sadly more violence. As a child I (Rachel) grew up in a house where domestic violence was very much part of every day life, my mother was the aggressor in my family home, in a time where women abusing men was unheard of so my father did not have the support and when my father wasnt around my mother would turn the violence towards myself, so this is a matter close to my own heart!

Sarah and I are know for our crazy adventures last year we rode from birmingham to Weymouth , then we did a swim run swim event in south wales and we are always trying to plan someone totally bonkers! Covid-19 has cancelled all our planned events for this year, we thought this would be a great way to do an event together- virtually and in our own homes! 12hrs on zwift we thought would be the perfect challenge ,12hrs none stop cycling on zwift .....it will hurt, we may cry but in these times where other charities are getting over looked during our international crisis we want to remind people these other charities still need us to! Keep safe everyone!
