Herts Charity Challenge (Triathlon and Duathlon) · 14 October 2012 ·

5.4 million children across the world are currently trapped in orphanages – even though 80% of them have family they could live with if they had the right support. Orphanages harm children, depriving them of love and exposing them to abuse. Your support helps us get children to back to family.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

After having come last at every school running race I am signing up for a triathlon.  Yes – on some days I wake up and think I have completely lost my mind too!

I felt that I couldn’t miss the opportunity to support this brilliant charity as I am passionate about poor children’s issues. Perhaps a combination of being inspired by the Olympics and a possible mid–life crisis has further spurred me on to enlist in the Herts Charity Challenge Triathlon on 14/10/2012.  I’ve been practicing and training and I’m nearly ready.

I’m aiming to raise £485 for Hope and Homes for Children.

It’s a wonderful charity that gives hope to the poorest children in the world – those who are orphaned, abandoned or vulnerable – by enabling them to grow up within the love of a family and the security of a home, so they can fulfill their potential.  I think they do amazing work.

It would be great if you would sponsor!
