The Kirkwood exists to improve the quality of life for local people, against all odds. We help those in our care to live well and make the most of every single day. We make the complex simple by focusing on what's important, and we support families and loved ones to live on and live well.

Story

Hi,

I'm running in memory of my Uncle George who died from Cancer January 2016. George is my Dad's older brother and had a positive impact on my life. He came to watch me run this marathon in 2007, he licked my ears when I was a kiddie and made me laugh uncontrollably, he invited me and my family to some of the most memorable and best family christmases of all time.  He was a positive thinker and was inspirational in how he coped with Cancer, behaving undefeated and with hope and bravery.  I'm raising money for the hospice as they looked after George at the end of his life. They gave him outstanding care including dignity, comfort and support for the family. Without fundraising Kirkwood wouldn't exist so please sponsor me to add to the coffers so the place can keep going and keep helping families like ours.
