Established in 1937, our mission has remained to sustain and increase opportunities for people with disabilities with rewarding employment, with an occupation that enables them to contribute to society through work. Fundraising is crucial to ensure the long term security of Yateley Industries.

Story

A challenge is challenge and for 2023, walking barefoot over hot embers seemed like a good idea at the time!  Please support me in supporting a charity in my own village, Yateley Industries.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.

Small charities are facing significant financial pressures now, please help me support them.

They were founded in 1937 by Jessie Brown who had a vision; to give people with disabilities as much independence as possible.  Today her legacy continues with a dedicated team of staff, encouraging each individual to fulfill their potential, both at home and work.  Offering on-site accessible accommodation Yateley Industries provides supported care alongside meaningful employment and training in their supported workshop.

In March 2021, they opened the Community Pantry, set up to help families and individuals who need extra support to manage their budget by providing food, grocery and some hygiene/ cleaning items at a reduced price.  Membership is available to anyone who needs it.  Shoppers pay £5 membership per visit and can choose food, grocery and hygiene/ cleaning items worth at least £15, although it is often much more.  They provide a service to help people to manage their budget and get back on their feet.  This compliments food banks who can provide provisions in emergency for people in crisis.

Thank you.
