At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Helloooo!

I'm taking part in the Cardiff Half Marathon as I enjoy running and wanted to raise money for Alzheimers charity to help them find better treatments to delay the progress of Alzheimers and eventually find a cure.

This progressive disease is both saddening, stressful and frustrating for both the person with Alzheimers and their loved ones.

There are 800,000 people with dementia in the UK with numbers set to rise to over 1 million by 2021. This will soar to 1.7 million by 2050.

It would be great if you could help me raise money towards this charity which is leading the way in dementia research and making the lives of people with this disease easier.

I'm really excited about running the Cardiff half marathon as have wanted to do it for a few years! So I have been training hard an am ready to take part!

The route looks great..take a look at the route map below:

WITH ONLY 3 WEEKS LEFT UNTIL THE BIG RACE, PLEASE DIG DEEP AND DONATE WHATEVER YOU CAN:)

Thank you
