Story
My dad passed away in December 2018 after a year long fight with skin cancer. The last 3 weeks of his precious life were spent in the Hospice and the love and dedication he received was truly amazing. They all took him to heart, even though he was a grumpy old git! Victor Meldrew we all called him! As a family we were also so well looked after, I cried on many a shoulder when we were in there. They deserve every penny we can donate so please dig deep people, just £1 or £100 would be so much appreciated. I am hoping that the money I raise will be enough to fund another family that will go through the similar circumstances we did, but with the love and support that we all found so helpful in our time of utter sadness. From nursing staff, to doctors, to Chaplin, to chef and food staff, to cleaning staff, to Counselling staff, absolutely amazing.
Thank you for donating to my cause, love you loads xxx
Receiving an end-of-life diagnosis can be difficult, not just for the patient but also for their loved ones. At Weston Hospicecare, our team of palliative care experts is dedicated to working together to provide specialist support. Our social, emotional, psychological, spiritual and physical care helps guide people through one of the most difficult experiences they will ever face. With only 20% of our funding coming from the NHS, we have to raise £4 million each year to fund our care - something that's only made possible by our community.
