Great Manchester Run 10k 2021 · 26 September 2021 ·

The AT Society is a small, national charity that supports children, young adults and their families whose lives have been shattered by a diagnosis of ataxia telangiectasia (AT), a rare, degenerative, life-limiting condition for which there is no cure. We fund vital research and essential support.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Jake & Max are brothers who both have AT. AT is a life
limiting illness that effects multiple systems. By the age of 10 children with AT are in wheelchairs full time. There is currently no cure but with the help of the AT Society Children like Jake and Max receive great care. The AT Society fund and organise the only specialised clinic, for AT, in Nottingham. They also fund important research and trials to help find a cure. Jake and Max and their family, have received great support from the AT Society especially for things like housing and school. Their Mum Lisa explains that the AT Society has been a massive support to the family and through them they have met other families in
the same situation.

We had never heard of AT before I met Lisa! I really want to
help raise awareness and support the charity that helps families like Jake and Max’s. To show my support we will be running the Manchester 10K for the AT Society! I hope to raise as much as I can so please sponsor me. #teamjakeandmax
