Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Lucy was born on January 8th 2015 @12.02am. As soon as she appeared by emergency c section she was taken away from us to Neo Natal care. The next 8 hours were awful until I got to see my baby again. It was almost 24 hours till I could physically hold my daughter who I had carried for 9 months! At 2 days old she had a lumbar puncture and our brave little fighter overcame infection and illness so that 8 days later she could come home with us.
I realise that we are very much the lucky ones. We had so much support from friends and family and also from our hospital team. We were also lucky that our stay was brief. Some families are not so lucky.
We didn't need the support of Bliss, but it was amazing to know that they would help us in a variety of different ways and there was someone to talk to if we needed it.
Bliss's support has helped so many babies and families, it's been there through the toughest times, however they can't do their terrific work without donations!
Amongst other things I shall be organising and playing in an 8 hour charity netball match, performing an 8 hour charity spinathon and running the London Marathon!
I hope you feel you can donate today to help give support to the thousands of babies and their parents that are born too sick, too small or too soon. A huge thanks for reading.
Rachel ( and my incredible friends and supporters!)
