Ron & I are running the (probably very cold) "Mad Dog Southport 10k" together on February 4th.

 We decided to make a "Just Giving" page for Heswall Disabled Children's Fund. They are a wonderful local charity who provide a free week's summer holiday for children (aged 9-15) with disabilities from around the North West. It is run entirely by volunteers and the charity needs to raise £30,000 a year to cover running costs. Because of the complex care needs of many of the children, they and their families struggle to have regular holidays. This holiday gives the children a chance to meet new friends, have loads of fun and try out new things with the support they need. Activities last year included flying in a light aircraft, swimming, zoo, cinema, eating out and a fireside sing-song. Also, there were lots of in-camp activities with really enthusiastic people. 

         We were extremely impressed by the staff last year, and Billy had a great time. It also gave us a relaxing week, as a bonus!
