Sue Ryder is here to make sure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can get the support they need. There is no one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with our support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. We are there when it matters.

Story

Well, we did it!! The rain didnt dampen our spirits and we had a fantastic day out in London! It took us 36 minutes to run the course and we had a lot of fun on the way too. Started with a 30 minute warm up routine in front of the stage and then on to the race. Thank you to everyone who has supported us and for those that havnt please continue to do so because every penny counts! Our page will continue taking donations until the middle of July.

Hi, our names are Tracey & Rachel (Tracey is on the left and Rachel on the right). Unfortunately our dad Dougie Lankshear passed away in January 2007 from Prostate cancer whilst being cared for by St Johns Hospice in Moggerhanger. St John's is a part of the Sue Ryder Care and as they rely solely on donations we thought we would give a little bit back. St Johns pride themselves on providing a better quality of life to their patients and we beleive that the quality of life our dad had in his last days was second to none. They did a great job, relaxed him, releived him and made him comfortable in his sorroundings.

Kirsty Lankshear & Amy Leonard have also joined us now in the Beat The Baton Run.

Our dad was looked after so well at St Johns and the care he received was overwhelming to his loved ones. The hours the staff put in are incredible and they really do look after their patients. They need so much help from people like us.

Dont get me wrong, this isnt going to be easy but we are up for the challenge and we are ready to do it for our dad!
