I have some fantastic news to share with you all!

In February 2018, I will be heading out to Ethiopia for my 5th mission with this fantastic charity. I will be a part of the medical team made up of nurses, surgeons, anaesthetists and dieticians. We all give up our own time and thoroughly enjoy the work we do out in Ethiopia. I will be using up 2 weeks of my annual leave to allow me to attend this fantastic mission. 

Project Harar work alongside the local hospital and staff to provide complex surgery to Men, Women and Children with facial disfigurements. These patients are often ostracised from the community and secluded from normal living duties such as; going to school, working, playing with children and generally mixing with the society. 

Please help me to reach my target which enables us to complete our mission successfully and treat these people. 

Each year it gets harder for me to fundraise as this is the 5th time I am asking for your support but please dig deep and help me put a smile on their faces. Their smile is worth millions! Any little amount goes a long way for this community. 

My last trip in February 2017 (Review Mission) consisted of travelling hours back to the rural villages and hometowns of our past patients. We visited over 70 of our patients from the last 10 years and seeing how the surgery has changed their lives....  IT WAS AMAZING!
