Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, Rally for Raleigh. I am fundraising for a sustainable development charity called Raleigh International, which aims to empower local communities in its host countries, while also encouraging its volunteers and venturers to grow and learn through their experiences. Raleigh aims to achieve this in a ground-up way, with ordinary people working together, so that environment, education, community, gender equality and much more come together as pieces of a puzzle to form a long term sustainable solution to a number of developmental obstacles. Raleigh's fundamental principles manifest themselves in the Millennium Development Goals, eight targets that address poverty and the establishment of basic human rights on a global scale.

I am lucky enough to be embarking on one of Raleigh's expeditions to Malaysian Borneo, where Raleigh focuses on water and sanitation, community resilience, natural resource management and youth leadership. To raise the money, I will be running Nottingham's Ikano Robin Hood Half Marathon, amongst other fundraising activities (which are to be confirmed!).
