Rohingya refugee camps in Bangladesh - Myanmar (Burma) Appeal · 15 July 2013

Human Appeal provides relief to victims of natural disasters, wars and social hardship. It improves the quality of life of underprivileged communities through our projects that aim to provide education, health and social development. It looks after the wellbeing of orphans.

Story

1000s of families facing persecution and violence are being denied their  basic human rights in Myanmar (Burma) including right to food, water and shelter. Our brothers and sisters, the Rohingyans, have been rendered 'stateless'. Having nowhere else to go they are forced to flee to neighbouring countries such as Bangladesh, but they are still in desperate need of our help. In these refugee camps many are disappearing, the men are being tortured leaving the women subject to rape and sexual exploitation and there is limited acess to aid and food.

RESPOND2ROHINGYA IS RAISING MONEY FOR FOOD PACKS

R2R has teamed up with Human Appeal International to raise funds for food packs for the Rohingyans living in the Bangladeshi refugee camps. Just £65 for a food pack will provide a family of six with basic staple foods such as rice, crackers and water for the whole month this Ramadan.

The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: Whoever feeds the person who is breaking his fast, he will have his rewards (for his fasting) without decreasing anything from the reward of the fasting person. (Tirmidhi).

Join us and help to feed 50 families and help to ease the pangs of thirst and hunger in the face of persecution.

100% donation policy. Zakat payments welcome.

Respond2Rohingya is a student-led campaign that aims to raise awareness, funds and take political action all under an Islamic ethos to tackle the persecution of the Rohingya people taking place in Myanmar (Burma).
