Story

Well we are off again.

Team WOMA is now family friendly and a full crew of auntie, grandparents and children will be our support team on the island.

Fran has no pregnancy, new mum excuses this year so is back to the 100km course with James and Ffion. However 18 months of no sleep and no energy for much exercise means it is unlikely to be a pb this year.

Hopefully the Beast from the East won't still be hanging around and it will be nice weather this year after last year's rain.

So dig deep please people for the fantastic work WOMA do and keep your fingers crossed that we make it round in one piece.

About the charity

WOMA is a charitable trust with a clear focus, made up of a small team with experience of working in Africa. Our aim is to help women across Africa who have been widowed or disadvantaged through war, famine or hiv/aids. We give small educational/training grants to individual women in order to help them gain skills that will help them support themselves and their families. Even the most modest donation can help lift them out of poverty and give them a real chance to fend for themselves.
