You may be surprised and extremely saddened to hear that every day 15 babies die just before, during or shortly after birth and sadly these figures have remained stagnant since the 80's. Families effected by baby loss require bespoke psychological support and Petals are leaders in baby loss counselling. 

The Pregnancy Expectations, Trauma and Loss Society (Petals) have been a lifeline for so many families offering support with specialist counselling sessions to help navigate grief, depression, anxiety and trauma. You will be shocked to discover that their funding has been stopped and their services suspended. So many rely on their crucial work and we simply cannot see them close their doors.

This charity is close to our hearts as only earlier this year our cherished Sector Manager Hela and her brave husband Robert lost their beautiful son Leo due to complications in labour. No family should have to leave the hospital without their baby and understandably this type of tragedy can have long lasting effects. 

Pregnancy after loss is one of the most frightening experiences and Petals are supporting Hela and Robert on their journey. 

To raise money the Randstad Welwyn Garden City office are splitting into 2 teams and walking from our head office in Luton to our Welwyn Garden City office, a distance of 25km (15miles). With 16 of us taking part this is a massive total of 400km. This will take place on 4th and 5th December. 

6 counselling sessions for one family costs £360 to fund, so please help us to raise £3000 to be able to offer these vital sessions for families effected by baby loss.
