For the third year madness has set in once again, and I am casting aside those Manolos, Christian Laboutins and fancy frocks. Alongside me, Woody and Ella have decided to join me this year and cast away their Nike high tops, carrot tops and laptops on Thursday November 10th 2011 - Indian summer night or minus 3 degrees and only 5 days from now - we have chosen to sleep on the streets of London and replace our beds for sleeping bags and cardboard boxes, to have just the tiniest insight experiencing what thousands face as their only option every single day. It is our challenge, along with others, to raise a sum of money to allow Centrepoint's Christmas charity pot to be a little fuller - to change a Christmas experience for someone this year.
There has been no greater time to create change. Although most of us are having to count our pennies right now - we only 5 days - the shortest time yet that I have ever had to raise sponsorship! Please push the donate button now and donate whatever you are able - however great or small a sum. Please know that it all helps someone, somewhere, benefit this Christmas time. Nearly all of us in our times of need don't have to turn far to find the love, care and support of family and close friends nor do we stop to recognise the safe and warm environment that we have every single night. It is just normal. We are all hoping that the monies we raise together on November 10th will allow the many that don't have this as their 'normal' at the moment; to experience something a little different.
Thank you to all of you who supported me to do this last year ..... and to those who support all three of us this year too - it is really is much appreciated.
Thank you,
Pip
