I am running in memory of my mother who died of bowel cancer in 1977. I have been running less than ten years, and although I have completed a local marathon this is my first London Marathon

I will be six months older than my mother when I take part in the run, so I am really thankful that I am fit enough to be able to raise money for such a worthy cause.
