Story
I have come to know John Kinross: In June 2012 John was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. In the past year his treatment has included intensive radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and lastly a stem cell transplant. Without the dedicated support of family, friends, his employer and the NHS, the prognosis for John and many like him would be significantly worse.
There is no getting away from some basic facts – it costs money, much of it to provide treatment and fund research necessary to develope adequate care and support. People count! They’re real, and John has responded well to his treatment.
Determined to raise awareness, John’s aim is to give something back and to encourage others to help him raise the funding and support needed to continue the research development and treatment of those diagnosed with myeloma.
This year my Etape Cymru is to support John’s aim to raise funds for Myeloma UK.
Please visit John’s Just Giving Page too and read his full and inspiring story.
I made it back safely in a time of 6 hours and 21 minutes. Thank you everyone who has supported me and raised much needed funds for Myeloma.
