With the Olympics just finished and the UK-hosted Paralympics exciting a nation and the world the timing is right to show our support. Seeing the Paralypians compete rates as one of the most motivational experiences of my life (if not the most inspirational).

I hope you feel as I do and will help me to raise funds to support these individuals who face challenges we cannot even imagine and then acccept those challenges and rise to levels of achievement to amaze us all. Unsurprisingly, government funding to support these athletes is not enough and our contributions do matter greatly.

So my small contribution to this will be to cycle my hundred-mile leg of the nearly 1,000 mile Ride Across Britian (yes from the most southerly tip of Lands End to the most northly tip of land in Scotland - Johns O'groat).

Thanks for any and all moral support (as this will be the longest distance I have ever ridden) and financial support of the Paralympics!
