It costs about £10,000 to fund a research fellow to undertake research in a laboratory per year. Most of our research fellows are junior surgeons working towards a Doctorate of Medicine (MD) or a Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) who tend to spend two-three years in full time research.
Approximately seven research fellows are in post at any one time and produce several national and international publications per year. You can find more about our research fellows and the research they are undertaking by clicking on the links.
Donations make a significant difference to our research programme and all contributions are gratefully received.
* Part of Leeds Cares (previously the Leeds Teaching Hospitals Charitable Foundation). All donations will be payed to Rays of Hope.
