The current mosque on Mawson Road, despite its limited facilities, continues to accommodate worshippers on Fridays and welcome visitors. However, over recent years with overcrowded facilities the need for Cambridge’s FIRST purpose built mosque has become obvious.

With good intentions and generous donations, plans are underway to build a new mosque to contribute to both the Muslim and wider community. Over £10 million pounds are needed to build the new mosque. In order to fundraise towards this blessed project, a Summer Stroll with two wonderful Shaykhs has been organised for 25^th June 2011.

The children, Nabeela and I will  be taking part in a 9-mile walk around Cambridgeshire countryside to raise funds for the Cambridge New Mosque Project insha' Allah. We would be grateful for any donations that you make towards this worthy cause, no matter how small.
