On 4th June, we will be walking 10 miles through London's Royal Parks for Room to Read.

Room to Read seeks to transform the lives of millions of children in developing countries by focusing on literacy and gender equality in education.  They have proposed a project that will enable the publication of brightly-coloured local language children’s books and place them in the hands of children throughout the developing world, including the wonderful Ekamuthu Preschool in which is being constructed now with funding from Penguin.

Your help will allow a little money to go a long way: for each pound raised on our walk we can publish a book and put it into a library in Nepal, Cambodia, Vietnam, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh or Laos.

As Nelson Mandela said, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world."
