ReadWell - books and story telling for children in hospital · 19 March 2013

Read for Good provides books and stories to children in hospital and to schools who really need them. We run programmes to encourage children to love reading, and provide new books and storyteller visits to 30 UK children’s hospitals. To see our brilliant work go to www.readforgood.org.

Story

For children in hospital, books are incredibly important - they comfort, distract, reassure and entertain. Throughout the year, Readathon’s hospital programme, ReadWell provides brand new books and storyteller visits to brighten up the days of children in hospital. Even children unable to leave their beds can choose books from ReadWell’s specially designed bookcase, and because they are brand new, the books are safe for those at high risk of infection.

As well as donating you could encourage your school to run a Readathon (part of the sponsorship goes directly to the hospital programme) www.readthon.org
